Sunday's Reactions & Picks

Well what the feck happened yesterday? Goals going in everywhere, expect where I wanted them, horses losing everywhere, except where I wanted them to!!

A few shock results yesterday, and some interesting reactions, the reactions of the Liverpool fans made me smile; Shankly lost his first game to 4-0, so this must be the start of the new Shankly era. Really, get a grip, Liverpool had the chances to put the game out of sight, but didn't and got punished. My worry is that Rodgers doesn't see the need to change and that his way is the only way, he needs to be flexible.  in my Suarez is a play maker, not an outright striker/scorer. AVB got a view of what is ahead of him, again some good build up, but no teeth up front, and a defence not working together. Well done Newcastle, carrying on where they left off.  I have QPR on my list for relegation this year, and boy did they start off on that rack. I read Mark Hughes' comments this morning, and my initial reaction: P45 by Xmas. Other teams to struggle, Wigan, Fulham & Reading.  But hey its only day one, lets not too carried away. Hopefully sit down in the week and take another look at season end predictions.

The horses were a mixed bag, with the lays absolutely abysmal, not only did they win, they bloody well walked it, need to review selection methods.... ;-(   the backs did OK, managed at least stake retrieval. the Perth ratings came up OK, with the top 2 capturing winners at: 11/8, Evens, 5/1, as well as several runners up spots, so enough green made there with some in running trading. Let's see how they go later, I have put Southwell's ratings up for reference, remember still in development phase with these.

Only a couple of meetings today, and already the NR's are appearing to take care.  The footy continues with new boys Southampton up against the champions at Maine Road, and the pensioners travelling up north to visit Wigan, easy City/Chelsea double at 2.08, or is the value to be had elsewhere? Up here in Scotland you've got the Dundee derby, should be a Utd win, more experienced squad should be challenging for top 3 this year. PSG are away at Ajaccio and need to pull their socks up after last weeks performance. Bordeaux will be a tough place for Rennes, but if Bordeaux score look to lay them off in the match odds, have a habit of drawing games.

Cricket still in the balance, and felt sorry for Johnny Bairstow yesterday, just lost a bit of concentration at a key time. Sticking with yesterdays moves, back SA and small saver on the draw.

What ever you do today, enjoy, the weather seems good, and Good Luck.

O2.5 £15
Danger here is 0-2, or game finishing 1-0, 0-0 would be a big turn up for the books. Possible top of )2.5 as game goes on, top up on other scores is required, 3-0 & AUQ seem a little low as well at the moment, so may edge with those later.
