And still the rain comes... Looks like a quiet weekend on the sporting front, with very few big feature events, but a few local ones. we can't really complain though can we? if you look what we have had so far, Wimbledon, Grand Prix, Euro 2012, Rugby international, decent cricket, some quality horses on show, and coming up the Golf & the Olympics, so a little breather won't go amiss.
Anyhow the Scottish saga rumbles on. Rangers were finally put into Div 3, but already moves are afoot for a league restructure, thus enabling them a quicker return to top flight. Personally I think its a disgrace from top to bottom, and the thing that Scottish football seems to have lost is a sense of integrity and loyalty to the game. It has all been about the money, the chasing of the money that got Rangers into this mess in the first place.Thank heavens for the fans who made their voices heard and let their clubs there would be no future without them. It should be a wake up call for Scottish football, and an acknowledgement of where the true level of football really is in this country. Scotland is not a Spain, or Italy, or Germany, they are lucky to be on a level par with Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Greece. The whole saga will have far reaching consequences amongst the game, but if it brings a bit of sense and a reality check to the game than crack on I say.
I see also that the English game has a problem on its hands now the John Terry verdict has been made. Sorry how can you verbally insult someone, using foul language and refer to the colour of their skin, and still be found not guilty. I'm not a legal man, but in plan terms I can not see how t is right. The FA need to make a stance and an example, otherwise the whole anti-racist campaign is a mockery, and the kids of tomorrow will think that it is OK to abuse and insult other people.
With the Olympics nearly upon us now are we all getting excited? Personally I'm looking forward to it. I was supposed to be working at he event, but so far I'm staying under the radar of being available. And no I do not work for G4S. It would seem that the UK are squad are in good nick, with some good results coming through from the latest athletics meetings, the cycling go well, and the rowers are in excellent form. so bring it on.
During this lull in the action I am taking the opportunity to prepare for the upcoming seasons football. i tend to keep a lot of my own records and methods, and must have the biggest book of spreadsheets in the world which help with y selections., and during the season my selections will be posted on a regular occurrence. I will publish a few stats over the next couple of days which may help some peoples decision making, nothing revolutionary, just some basics. In terms of methods for helping decision making you should keep and eye on this blog, quite helpful and informative. http://footytradingposts.blogspot.co.uk/
The run of Horse racing abandonments and non-runners continue, with Salisbury now off and the changing ground conditions starting to account for a few NR's. So watch the staking and don't be surprised to see some shock results. Chester is still on, personally I don't like putting any money near this course, don't know if its the track shape, the behaviour of the runners, I just know it won't see a lot of my money.

May have to do a bit of ducking and diving if score stays 0-0/1-0/0/0-1 for a while, or if Mjalby fail to fire, but a lay off of U2.5 at HT may be profitable if 0-0, amount of money in the market as well may be an issue.
Good Luck
