Well not the best of days on Saturday, got off to a bad start with the first lay of the day romping home under Fallon, must admit I thought he still had some more in the tank. On the back foot from there on in, however the one thing i have learnt on this journey is that chasing losses is the quick way to the poor house. So it was a case of take it on the chin and move on, on laying to a set liability has helped this mindset.
The footy ended up a small red for me, no matter how much I ducked and dived the late scoring didn't help my case, but am disappointed that more goals were not forthcoming. Need to look a bit deeper at my research, is it enough and in the right areas?
Enjoying the Tor De France at the moment, must admit its not something I have got into before, perhaps its the strong British influence, but you've got to admire the fitness levels of these boys. Lets just hope the winners are not marred by what seems to be the ever present drugs scandal.
Anybody watch the boxing last night? Did it live up to its panto billing? Haye and Chisora was really all about the money, personally I'm glad i didn't pay to watch it.
Just watched a replay of the Khan fight. What was the by playing at, he was going in with no defence, thinking he could just walk through attacks. Mayweather is definitely off the agenda he needs to sort out the defence and mindset. i think he let himself down badly last night.
Final round of the Scottish Open today, and Molinari is one shot ahead of the erst of the field, ad in my eyes that means a small lay with a view to trading as the day progresses.
Today seems another quiet day with racing at Southwell & Stratford with Sligo & Fairyhouse coming from over the water. Looks like the usual Sunday fare, and the summer jumpers must be well cheesed off with these conditions, more akin to November racing.
EW Trixie, traded as the day goes on:
2.20 Stratford - Traditional Bob
3.05 Fairyhouse - Slade Power
5.55 Sligo - Mr Carson
Value Lay
4.20 Stratford - Snowed In
St Pats v Drogheda
again looking at a home win:
0-0 £2
1-1 £5
2-0 £3
2-1 £3
3-1 £2
O2.5 £15
